A television actress recently revealed that she had been molested by her uncle for years when she was a child. What an awful thing that was for a little girl. She didn't deserve such abuse. No child does. She is one of millions who are sexually abused in this country. Research estimates that one out of every four girls is molested in some way before the age of eighteen, and the molester is usually a relative.

The less a culture fears God, the more it will have of problems like child abuse. This moral deterioration is taking place before our very eyes. People scorn faith in God and are filling our land with pornography, perversion, and every form of degradation imaginable. Unless society is humbled and brought to repentance, the situation will get worse.

What happened to this actress is terrible. Yet this same woman stars in a program that promotes adultery. People talk about how bad it was that she had been abused as a child, then praise and admire her for playing the role of an adulteress. Child abuse is sin; so is adultery. But when people decide for themselves what is good or bad, you can expect this disgusting hypocrisy.

There is another case of this hypocrisy in the media. A lot of attention has been given lately to the problem of sexual predators. Television networks have conducted sting operations to catch child molesters and newscasters have displayed the names and faces of these pedophiles. They have given a lot of coverage to the sexual abuse scandals in the Roman Catholic Church. But they dare not mention that one well-known figure was a notorious pedophile.

The hadith of Al-Bukhari are the traditions of what Muhammed said and did. These writings are second in authority only to the Quran in the Islamic religion. Here is what those writings record from the mouth of Aisha, one of the wives of Muhammed:

My marriage (wedding) contract with the Prophet was written when I was a girl of six years...Later on, my hair grew and my mother, Umm Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends...Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's blessing and a good luck"...Unexpectedly Allah's messenger came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age.

These are the facts straight from an authoritative Muslim source. Muhammed was 52 years old when he took this little girl to be his bride. How sick! But have you ever heard this story from the mainstream media? If a 50 year-old man went to a playground and took a 9 year-old girl from a swing, he would be labeled a sexual predator on the evening news. Yet Muhammed did the same thing as a "prophet" and the media refer to his religion as a great, beautiful faith. A special issue of U. S. News and World Report in 2005 entitled "Secrets of Islam" called it "a great faith that preaches unity, brotherhood, and love of a common God." That is an outright lie. That issue also said Muhammed's favorite bride was "young Aisha." The magazine conveniently left out just how young she was.
