TBC scholarship awarded to Beason

COOKEVILLE, Tenn.—Pickett County High School graduate Andrea Beason has been awarded the Moral Excellence Scholarship to attend Tennessee Bible College in Cookeville.

Beason, daughter of Darrell and Donna Beason of Monroe, Tenn., is a member of Swallows Chapel Church of Christ and plans to begin her studies at TBC this fall.

"I am very honored to receive this scholarship," she said. "I would like to thank everyone for giving me this scholarship. This is truly an honor."

Malcolm Hill, president of TBC, said, "We are so happy and pleased that Andrea was selected to receive the Moral Excellence Scholarship. This is one of the highest honors Tennessee Bible College can bestow on a person. A person who receives this scholarship excels in morals in many ways. We look forward to having Andrea Beason with us in the fall of 2007."

The annual TBC scholarship is available to students in the Upper Cumberland area and is awarded based on recommendations from school faculty members and guidance counselors. The scholarship can be used in conjunction with work at other colleges and universities.

Tennessee Bible College, located at 1616 McCulley Road in Cookeville, was established in 1975 and is authorized by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission to award the bachelor's degree in religious education, master's and doctorate degrees in theology and a two-year preaching diploma. Distance learning and refresher courses are also offered, as well as a free Bible correspondence course.
