TBC releases president's and dean's lists
Cookeville — Tennessee Bible College students Mark Day of Algood and Edward Davis of Chicago, Ill., have been named to the president's list for the winter quarter.
Mark Day of Algood, Tenn.
Day, son of Anita Page of Indianapolis, Ind., is a 2004 graduate of Whiteland Community High School in Indiana. In addition to his studies at TBC, he serves as the college's production assistant and preaches at Midway Church of Christ near Spencer. He and his wife, Alissa, reside in Algood.
Edward Davis of Chicago, Ill.
Davis is the son of Elinor and James Davis of Chicago. He is a 2002 graduate of Thornwood High School and also holds a bachelor of arts degree in digital media technology from Columbia College in Chicago. After graduating from TBC, he plans to become an evangelist, full-time preacher or a teacher at a Christian school or college.
To be named to the president's list, a full-time student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average for the quarter.
The TBC dean's list for the winter quarter includes John Ward of Livingston, Midea Liao of Xi Tao City, China, and Susan Wheeler of Cookeville.
Students on the dean's list must be full-time and have a grade point average of at least 3.0 for the quarter.
Ward, son of Jack and Joyce Ward of Livingston, is a 2005 graduate of Livingston Academy. After graduating from TBC, he would like to become a preacher.
Liao, daughter of Guanghao Liao and Qunxiang Deng of China, is a 2001 high school graduate. In 2005, she graduated from South-Central University for Nationalities in Wuhan, China, where she majored in English language and literature, and also from Zhangnan University of Law and Economics, where she minored in accounting. When she returns to China, she plans to become a teacher.
Wheeler is the daughter of Mike and Joy Wheeler of Cookeville. She is a 2005 graduate of Cookeville High School and has also attended Tennessee Tech University.
Tennessee Bible College, located at 1616 McCulley Road in Cookeville, was established in 1975 and is authorized by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission to confer the bachelor's degree in religious education, the master's and doctorate degrees in theology, and a two-year preacher's diploma.
