TBC announces golf scramble winners

The 2009 winning team
David Hill, public relations and missions director at Tennessee Bible College, center, presents a trophy to Veachel Harlan of Tompkinsville, Ky., captain of this year's champion team in the TBC golf scramble held April 30 at the Cookeville Golf Club. Also on the team are Gary Rowland, left, and, after Hill, Roger Deckard and Jonathan Shaw, all of Tompkinsville. The TBC golf scramble is held as a fundraiser each spring in conjunction with the college's annual Spiritual Renewal Week lectureship. Hill said, "This is our 12th year to do this tournament, and we had good participation, and it just so happened that the newest team entry is the one that won everything this year. We appreciate everyone's participation. All the money goes to a good cause." For information about next year's event, call TBC at (931)526-2616.

Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive
In addition to being on the winning team, Jonathan Shaw of Tompkinsville, Ky., also claimed individual awards for being "Closest to the Pin" and having the "Longest Drive."
