COOKEVILLE—Several golfers from near and far answered the charitable call from Tennessee Bible College, swinging their support during its 10th annual golf scramble on May 3 at the Cookeville Country Club.
The fund-raising tournament was a four-man scramble, with each team contributing $300 to participate. The tournament generated a total donation of $1,475 to Tennessee Bible College, a school in Cookeville which trains Bible preachers and Christian workers.
The winning team included Glenn B. Ramsey of Cookeville, Chad Ramsey of Tupelo, Miss., Scott Griffith of Sparta and Tony Milam of Tupelo.
Individual honors were bestowed upon Mitchell Newell of Joelton for being "Closest to the Hole" and Stanley Anderson of Cookeville for "Longest Drive."
"The golf scramble was a great success," said David Hill, TBC's public relations director, who oversaw and directed the event. "We appreciate all those who participated in this worthy cause."
