COOKEVILLE — "Keeping the Church in the Bible Way" is the theme for Tennessee Bible College's annual Leadership Day to be held Saturday, Feb. 24, at the college campus in Cookeville.

The day's schedule is as follows:

"What we do is try to bolster the faith of the gospel," said TBC President Malcolm Hill. "We deal with current issues that teachers, preachers and church leaders are confronted with. We have this day to inform and help the leadership in whatever capacity."

Hill said he will also address topics such as abortion, euthanasia, genetic engineering, reproductive technologies, pornography and homosexuality.

"We're living in a time that has presented so many new things," he said. "We're having Leadership Day to discuss modern things we're confronted with. We deal with ethics and problems in our generation. And they have changed tremendously from what they used to be."

Hill said he feels that everyone should be aware of these matters.

"People who don't know what the Bible says will start sliding away from it," he said. "And they oftentimes slowly but surely just slide and slide, and it's a plain and simple fact that if one can disobey the Bible in one point, one can disobey it in every point. Where do you have any stopping point?"

He added, "What we plan to do is show that we've got to stay in the Bible way no matter what culture presents or what's taking place in the world. We've still got to stay with the Bible."

Hill welcomes all interested individuals to attend TBC's Leadership Day.

"If they will come with Bible and notebook, they can go home with a lot of points that are up-to-date, and that will help them to know right directions and wrong directions and how to make decisions based on the Bible."
