TENNESSEE BIBLE COLLEGE
COOKEVILLE — Blooming dogwoods invoke more than visions of springtime for staff members at Tennessee Bible College. The white floral display also signals that Spiritual Renewal Week is just around the corner.

Hill said he chose this year's theme, "God's Plan," because of the timeliness of the subject.
"We're living in an age when people run more on feelings or subjectivism than the Bible itself," he said. "So for this year's lectureship, we wanted to emphasize God's commandments and how that throughout the Bible we are commanded to follow Him. Unless we know the will of God and do the will of God, there is no way to be saved."
Hill said the lectures have benefits for everyone.
"People should attend for the spiritual value and strength these lectures will give them," he said. "We'll be talking about God's plan, and when we learn what God wants and submit to His will, it makes for a happy world."
Spiritual Renewal Week will also feature the 11th annual TBC Golf Scramble, as well as the Friends of TBC banquet. Both are fundraisers for the college.
The golf scramble is set for 10 a.m. on May 1 at the Cookeville Golf Club. The tournament is a four-man scramble, and the cost is $300 per team or $75 per individual golfer. Participants should register by April 24 by calling the college at (931)526-2616 or stopping by the campus at 1616 McCulley Road, Cookeville.
The Friends of TBC banquet will be May 3 at 6:15 p.m. in the Tennessee Tech Pride Room of the Roaden University Center at TTU. Tickets are $150 per person and can be obtained by calling TBC.
On the last night of the lectureship, May 4, a free President's Chicken Supper will be held at Northeast Church of Christ at 5:45 p.m.
"We want to encourage everybody to come and eat with us and enjoy the chicken supper," Hill said. "That's truly a highlight, and we always have a house full of people."
