TBC releases president's and dean's lists

COOKEVILLE — Tennessee Bible College in Cookeville has released its president's and dean's lists for the 2008 winter quarter.
On the president's list are Edward Davis of Chicago, Ill.; Mark Day of Cookeville; Joshua Brown of Bowling Green, Ky.; and Midea Liao of Wuhan, China. To be named to this list, a full-time student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average for the quarter.
Davis, son of Elinor Davis of Chicago and the late James Davis, is a 2002 graduate of Thornwood High School. He also holds a bachelor of arts degree in digital media technology from Columbia College in Chicago.
Day is the son of Anita Page of Indianapolis, Ind., and a 2004 graduate of Whiteland Community High School in Indiana. He is married to the former Alissa Wheeler.
Brown, son of Michael and Brenda Brown of Bowling Green, is a 2001 graduate of Greenwood High School in Kentucky.
Liao is the daughter of Guanghao Liao and Qunxiang Deng of China. She is a 2001 high school graduate, as well as a 2005 graduate of South-Central University for Nationalities in Wuhan, China, where she majored in English and literature, and also from Zhangnan University of Law and Economics, where she minored in accounting.
The TBC dean's list includes Andrea Beason of Monroe and Helen Wang of Wuhan, China. To earn this distinction, full-time students must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 for the quarter.
Beason, daughter of Darrell and Donna Beason of Monroe, is a 2007 graduate of Pickett County High School. She attends TBC as a recipient of the Moral Excellence Scholarship, which is offered each year to students in the Upper Cumberland area.
Wang is the daughter of Jinxi Wang and Xian Zhangbing of Ezhou City, China. She holds a degree in business English from Wuhan Institute College in China, where she graduated in 2004.
Malcolm Hill, president of TBC, said of the students: "Not only do they excel in their grades, but they excel as good Christian young people. They are so cooperative and helpful and have the best attitudes in the world."
Tennessee Bible College is located at 1616 McCulley Road in Cookeville and offers a bachelor's degree in religious education, master's and doctorate degrees in theology and a two-year preaching diploma. Distance learning courses are also available.
