COOKEVILLE — The faculty of Tennessee Bible College will be welcoming a younger crowd than usual come July 13. That's when boys and girls ages 12-18 converge on the Cookeville campus for TBC's 10th annual Truth Bible Camp.
A day camp for ages 9-11 will be held simultaneously with the full-time camp, which concludes July 16.
The camp includes Bible classes, devotionals, lessons on Christian living, sermon preparation classes, Christian service training and more, plus a variety of sports and other fun activities.
David Hill, camp director, said, "The TBC camp is a unique opportunity for our young boys and girls to be together and get some very practical teaching in Christian service."
Camp reservations can be made by calling the TBC office at (931)526-2616. The deadline is Monday, July 7. Registration takes place at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at TBC.
Prior to registration on Sunday, campers and their families are invited to attend the 9 a.m. Bible study and 10 a.m. worship service at Northeast Church of Christ, located next door to the college. Camp concludes on Wednesday at the church, with young men from the camp conducting the 7 p.m. Bible study service.
The cost is $25 per camper, which includes meals, materials and recreation costs. Day camp for ages 9-11 is $15 and includes meals. Daily sessions are 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
Funds are available for boys and girls unable to pay the camp fee. Those in need should call the camp director at (931)526-2616.
