COOKEVILLE—Computer specialist Joy Wheeler has joined the staff at Tennessee Bible College of Cookeville.
She will be overseeing all facets of the college's computer operations, including technical support and assistance and data base maintenance. She will also be updating and maintaining the TBC Web site and assisting with various publications produced at the school.
"We are really thankful that we have Joy," said TBC President Malcolm Hill. "She is heaven-sent in that she is a vital part of the work of the Bible college, and the limit to the work that Joy will be doing for the school in the Lord's cause cannot be measured. She is doing a great job setting up our Web site and helping us in the Distance Learning program. Joy makes us a complete team."
Wheeler comes to TBC with more than 16 years of experience in computer operations. She is a 1983 graduate of Freed-Hardeman University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in business education. Prior to joining the staff, she was employed at Cookeville High School, where she taught computer and business courses for 10 years.
Wheeler said, "I am really thrilled to be a part of the staff at TBC. Using my computer skills to help the cause of Tennessee Bible College has been a dream of mine for quite some time. I feel like I can make a difference, and that's a great way to feel about your work."
A native of Gallatin, she came to Cookeville in 1985. She is married to Mike Wheeler, a systems programmer at Tennessee Tech University. They have two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan Wheeler and Alissa and Mark Day. The family attends Northeast Church of Christ in Cookeville.
