TBC accepts new students

COOKEVILLE—Tennessee Bible College of Cookeville has accepted four new students to begin studies for the winter quarter.

They are Edward Davis of Chicago, Ill.; Susan Wheeler of Cookeville; Midea Liao of Xi Tao City, China; and Helen Wang of Wuhan, China.

Davis, son of Elinor and James Davis of Chicago, is working toward a bachelor's degree in religious education. He is a 2002 graduate of Thornwood High School and also holds a bachelor of art degree in digital media technology from Columbia College in Chicago. He plans to become an evangelist, full-time preacher and/or a teacher at a Christian school or college.

Wheeler is the daughter of Mike and Joy Wheeler of Cookeville. She is a 2005 graduate of Cookeville High School and has also attended Tennessee Tech University, where she majored in elementary education.

Liao, daughter of Guanghao Liao and Qunxiang Deng of China, is pursuing a bachelor's degree in religious education at TBC. In 2005, she graduated from South-Central University for Nationalities in Wuhan, China, where she majored in English language and literature, and also from Zhangnan University of Law and Economics, where she minored in accounting. She is planning a career in teaching.

Wang is the daughter of Jinxi Wang and Xian Zhangbing of Ezhou City, China. She is working toward a bachelor's degree in religious education at TBC. She is also a graduate of Wuhan Institute College in China, having received a degree in business English in 2004. She plans to become a teacher.

Tennessee Bible College also has two new students in its Distance Learning program. They are Tim Brown of Cookeville and Vicki Kelly of Ellenwood, Ga.

Tennessee Bible College, located at 1616 McCulley Road in Cookeville, was established in 1975 and is authorized by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission to confer the bachelor's degree in religious education, the master's and doctorate degrees in theology and a two-year preacher's diploma. Free Bible correspondence courses are also offered.
