David Hill: Life’s full of them. Choices. Got a minute? The most important choice you’ll ever make is to obey the gospel of Christ. Some make their choice based on the crowd, but in the long ago, God said, do not follow the crowd to do evil (Exodus 23:2). Jesus said, “Many are called, but few are chosen (Matthew 22:14).”
Some choose on the basis of fashion, what’s in style. Jesus said, it’s a straight gate and a narrow way that leads to life eternal (Matthew 7:13). The early church was everywhere spoken against (Acts 28:22). Others choose by brand. Did you know the best-known church brand in Christianity is condemned by God long before they began (I Timothy 4:16)?
How do you choose that which is most important? Are you interested in knowing the truth? Jesus said you can (John 8:32). “Buy the truth and sell it not” (Proverbs 23:23). God’s Word is truth (John 17:17). That’s the gospel. Thank you for listening to One Gospel Minute.
