David Hill: ‘Go ye’ means ‘go me.’ Hi, David Hill with a Gospel Minute. I’ve heard this quoted all my life. Christians are to go with the Gospel, both teaching and preaching it to everyone(Matt. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16). Contained in these two verses is a charge to duty to every Christian. Not everyone can preach, but in one way or another, everyone can teach. How so? By spoken word, a life lived, helping, loving—by example, everyone is teaching something. Jesus calls us to discipline ourselves to a teaching of His saving message. Are you concerned about the world around you? We can be part of the solution by shining as lights in the midst of a “crooked and perverse nation” (Phil. 2:15). Can’t do much? The old hymn says: “Little is much when God is in it.” First, be obedient to Christ, then tell the world about it. Oh yes, a better world begins with me. That’s the Gospel!
