God’s Desire for You
- Scripture: I Timothy 2:1-2
Transcript
David Hill: Ever thought about the life God desires for you? Got a minute? It’s earthly life I’m talking about. Many are trying to find their purpose. Some seek the essence of life. And this is not just folks outside of Christ. Many in the church can’t decide how they should live or what they should do. God gives many principles to live by in His Word, the Bible.
In fact, He tells us life can be complete in Him by studying, learning, and following His Word. So, what life does God desire for you and for me? The Apostle Paul records God’s Word on this matter (I Timothy 2:1-2). He says we should pray for kings, worldly leaders, and those in authority. Now here it is, the answer to our question: “that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty.” That’s the life of a Christian, living in peaceful communion with our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ our Lord. The good news? You can do this even in a world that’s out of control, upside down. Peace. Perfect peace. Seek it. Pray for it. And live the life God desires for you to live.
