“Mother”—the most beautiful word on the lips of mankind—right next to “home,” “mother” takes us immediately to the warmth and safety of our childhood and right back to the arms of the one who loved us most, who rocked us, taught us, fed us, and prayed for us.
How can we ever measure the blessing of a Christian mother?
–she knows where her help comes from in any crisis, big or small—Psalm 46:1
–she knows where her wisdom comes from—James 1:5; Proverbs 1:7
–she knows where hope for her children lies, God’s Word—Romans 10:17; Colossians 1:5
–she knows how to live the abundant life and bring that joy into her home—John 10:10
–she knows what to teach her children and she never stops till they leave her—Deuteronomy 6:4-9
–she knows Who her Shepherd is and she shows her children how to follow Him—John 10:27-28
–she knows what’s most important, pointing her children to heaven—Revelation 2:10; Mark 16:16
–she knows where to go for every righteous answer in her life and the lives of her children, The Word—2 Peter 1:3
Christian mothers reflect the truth of God every day—selfless servants who deserve our admiration and deep appreciation. We give thanks for them, and we count on the Lord to keep His promise of glory, honor, and peace in eternal reward to them—Romans 2:10.
