David Hill: Had a guy ask me at the post office the other day if I was paying attention to what’s going on in the world around me. Hi, David Hill with a Gospel Minute. I assured him, yes, I am paying attention to it. And we talked a little bit about it, and what he was concerned about and what I’m concerned about is the sexual perversion that’s going on in the world. It is being openly practiced in our society and no one seems to be condemning it. I assured him that we were doing the best that we could. And I mentioned to him, and I tell you, that if we don’t stand against it, no one else is going to. Sodom and Gomorrah became a lawless, sexually immoral, perverted, and eventually very violent society (Genesis 19). They progressed to such a decrepit state that God destroyed them without a trace. All forms of sexual immorality were promoted there until not even 10 righteous people could be found. Things were so perverse for so long that they passed the point of no return. It can happen. The “go along to get along” spirit will not appease such people, for they insist on going further and further into disobedience. Are you paying attention? The Bible teaches perversion unchecked gets worse and worse. The only hope is the objective moral standard applied, which comes from the Word of God. If there’s any hope for us, then it’s through the redemptive Gospel of Jesus Christ. Don’t be ashamed of it. Teach it, live it, defend it, and go home to live in peace with God in heaven. That’s the Gospel.
