This week on One Gospel Minute, we honor a legacy of faith and service passed from father to son.

On President David Hill’s birthday — and as we pause this Veterans Day — we share the voice of TBC founder and veteran Malcolm Hill, whose life of faith and devotion to the Lord began a legacy that continues through his son today.

Their shared love for God and commitment to the gospel remind us that true service — whether to family, to the Lord, or to our country — always begins with faith.

One minute. One message. One Gospel.

Kerry Duke: Today we honor President David Hill’s birthday and share a message from his father, our founder and veteran, Malcolm Hill—a legacy of faith that still continues.

Malcolm Hill: I wonder if I’m speaking to any moms and dads right now listening to this brief minute spot that I have. I wonder if I’m talking to any grandmamas and granddaddies.

If so, I want to ask you a question. Do you love your children? Do you love your grandchildren? What are you doing for them—for your children and your grandchildren? Are you living right in their presence? Can you say that really and truly that if they followed you, they’d have a wonderful life because your life is patterned after the life of Jesus Christ?

Are you living right in the sight of God and in the sight of those about you, particularly your children and perhaps your grandchildren? Now, if you love your children and you really appreciate them and want them to have a good life and a successful life, you need to lead them to Christ. Otherwise, you’re leading them to Hell, and you don’t love them like you should if you’re doing that.

I’m Malcolm Hill. This has been One Gospel Minute from the churches of Christ in your area where you are always welcome.
