Paul’s words in II Timothy 2:2 remind us of the charge to commit the gospel to faithful men who will teach others also. Now it’s your turn—take up the charge and carry the gospel forward.

David Hill: It’s on—fall term 2025 at Tennessee Bible College. Hi, David Hill. The apostle Paul said, “The things that you’ve heard of me among many witnesses, those same things commit to faithful men that they may be able to teach others also” (II Timothy 2:2). Authority, our charge, and reason to exist for 50 years is to teach others that they may teach others.

Remember, it was through his teaching in the School of Tyrannus for two and a half years that the apostle taught all of Asia, or at least all of Asia heard the Gospel of Christ, according to Acts chapter 19, verses 9 through 10. Supported by churches of Christ and individuals, the apostle Paul did his work, and so do we (Philippians 4:15–17).
