Malcolm Hill: What is water baptism? It is not an outward sign of an inward grace, and water does not wash away our sins. It’s the blood of Christ that does that. It is not the eternal security of the believers. It is not to join the church, because when we become God’s child, He adds us to His church (Acts 2:47).
Well, what is water baptism? It is an act of faith (Romans 5:1). It must be done to be saved (Mark 16:16). It is for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). It is for the purpose of contacting the blood of Jesus Christ in order that our sins may be washed away (Acts 22:16; Romans 6:3-4).
Now the question arises: have you been baptized scripturally? I’m Malcolm Hill. This has been One Gospel Minute_ _from the churches of Christ in your area, where you are always welcome.
