Tennessee Bible College will host RENEW Lectureship 2026 on Saturday, February 28, featuring a morning of Bible study centered on the theme My Responsibility, drawn from Romans 13:8–14. The studies will consider the apostle Paul’s call for Christians to live with spiritual awareness, moral clarity, and deliberate faithfulness, summarized in the exhortation to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ.”

The program will begin at 9:00 AM with an opening study led by Jason Gann, registrar at Tennessee Bible College. This opening session will introduce the urgency of Paul’s message in Romans 13, emphasizing the need to awaken from spiritual complacency and to recognize the responsibilities that accompany life in Christ.

At 10:00 AM, the lectureship will continue with separate Bible study sessions for men and women, each focused on Romans 13:12–13 and the call to “put on the armor of light.” These studies will examine the contrast Paul draws between a life marked by spiritual vigilance and one shaped by the works of darkness, calling attention to the responsibility Christians bear to live honorably and exercise self-control. The men’s session will be led by Randy Kea, while the women’s session will be led by Debbie Kea, allowing for focused study and thoughtful application within each group.

The morning will then draw to a close with a final study from Romans 13:14, led by Dan Fraley, a Tennessee Bible College alumnus and recent Master of Theology graduate. Fraley’s study will return to the central exhortation of the day, calling Christians to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ” and to make no provision for the flesh. Having served fifteen years on active duty in the United States Army before becoming a Christian and later entering full-time preaching, Fraley brings both lived experience and careful biblical training to the closing message. He currently serves as a preacher for the Little Beaver Church of Christ and the Mouth of Road Creek Church of Christ in eastern Kentucky.

Following the morning sessions, a catered lunch will be held at 12:00 noon in the Grandview Room of the Northeast church of Christ. All are invited to attend and participate in this time of study and fellowship. Additional information, including the full schedule, is available here.
