David Hill: Malcolm Hill: My friend, what guides you in religion? Do your parents guide you? Could it be that your family—other members of the family—guide you? Or is it a friend or friends? Could it be that the majority of the people, what they’re doing, guides you in religion? Or maybe the minority? Or maybe it’s what’s popular or what you like in religion?
I ask the question: What guides you in religion?
Now, man-made teachings are in vain (Matthew 15:1-7). God wills that we follow the Bible—that’s why He gave it to us. And when we fail to follow it, we are not doing what He wills (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:3; Galatians 1:6-9; Revelation 22:18-19). Now to fail to follow the Bible is for one to lose his own soul.
