David Hill: Paid attention to the world around you lately? Hi, David Hill with a _Gospel Minute_. There’s been lots of change in our culture the past several years. Public discourse seems to be at an all-time low—bitter, envious, lying, generating strife, even from those who claim to be the wisest among us. James said, “_Such wisdom does not come from above_” (James 3:15) but is earthly, sensual, devilish. This is opposite of prayerful consideration (James 1:5). Christians are called to a higher place. We’re to be more than conquerors in Christ (Romans 8:37). So why copy the world? Winners shouldn’t act like losers. Seek that which is above. Set the example God, through Christ, calls you to, and pray. It seems like a good time for faith, truth, and instruction from God. Do you look, act, and sound like Jesus? It’s time for the gospel.
