David Hill: It’s above all others. Hi, David Hill. Got a minute? Completeness comes in knowing the Word (II Timothy 3:16-17)—that is, the complete understanding of God, His will and His way. There are many things one can know of God by the physical evidence of creation (Psalm 19:1-3), but to know what needs to be known for salvation and full understanding, one must contact the revealed Word of God, the Bible (Romans 1:20). There are many published and spoken words, but only God’s Word is truly worthy (Revelation 4:11). It is worthy because He’s worthy. It’s worthy because righteousness is found in it. It’s worthy because of its purity (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8). It’s by and through it that sanctification is possible (John 17:17). God’s Word will judge our actions, (Revelation 20:12), with God passing final judgment on our response to it. God’s Word is above all others—complete and worthy. That’s the gospel.
