Living a happy life involves gratitude and appreciation. From the world we live in to the freedom we enjoy, everything comes from our creator and sustainer, God. So live in thanksgiving. Recognize and be thankful for the sacrifices made by many for our liberty. Express gratitude for the support of parents, educators, and friends, and truly appreciate the salvation provided by our wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of sins through baptism (Acts 22:16).

David Hill: The happy life is one of thanksgiving and appreciation. Got a minute? A few years ago, some took offense at the statement, “you didn’t build that.” And in truth, we didn’t. What anyone has, has come by the help of others. Obviously, we didn’t create the world. So live in thanksgiving to our creator and sustainer, God.

The freedom we enjoy didn’t come from us. Many have paid even the ultimate price for our liberty. So live in thanksgiving for their sacrifice. Houses, cars, things are the product of our labor. Solomon said, “we should rejoice in our labor.” So live in thanksgiving for what you have, while appreciating those who’ve helped. Parents, educators, family and friends.

Salvation from sin? You haven’t earned it. That was paid by Jesus Christ. If one’s obeyed the gospel of Christ, sins washed away in baptism, Acts 22:16, then live in thanksgiving for a wonderful Savior. Are you thankful? Thank you for listening to One Gospel Minute.
