There are only so many opportunities to get the kind of intense instruction and interaction that VBS and camp provide. When you combine the two, you get an opportunity to learn the most, have the most fun, and gain the most friends – all at the same time. I’m talking about Truth Bible Camp. I have been a part of many, many camps through my life, both with church and the Boy Scouts. It is only at Truth Bible Camp that I saw young Christian people advance so quickly in their faith that I just couldn’t believe my eyes. The reason they were able to accomplish so much is because of the support they get day after day, and the fun they have as they go along make it all seem a joy. This year will be yet another excellent opportunity to hear a great lesson, run a great obstacle course, and make a great craft.
There are improvements being made every year. Brother Huddleston and staff keep tweeking it to make it better and this year will be no exception. We look forward to the most exciting lessons yet, and to extra-curricular activities that will be enhanced over any previous year. The minimal cost is without a doubt the best buy you could make. Each year I just can’t believe I’m getting to hear such singing, eat such food, and play such games! Let’s all consider in the days to come what good is going to be done at this year’s camp and encourage each other to do our best to come and bring a friend. Remember that when Nathanael was skeptical of what good could come out of Nazareth, Philip simply said, “Come and see” (John 1:46). If you just ‘come and see’ then you will not be disappointed, and it just might change your life forever.
