The pages of Holy Writ begin, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” We find these words in Genesis 1:1. Truly, God knew what He was doing, and He always knows what He is doing. He created this wonderful world in which we live. Psalm 19:1 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” We see God’s amazing creation in the world in which we live. When you look at the cosmos, the intricacies of your own body, the intricacies of plant life, and the intricacies of animal life, we see that this amazing creation of a world was created by the Ultimate Designer, God.
“Northern Lights” in Tennessee May 10, 2024
This world has been entrusted unto us (Genesis 1:28). In Genesis 1:28, we are told that about Adam and Eve, “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Truly, we have been entrusted with a wonderful creation in which to live.
Recently, I went outside and looked into the sky and saw the amazing “Northern Lights.” It is amazing that we were able to see this in our area. As I looked at the red tint across the sky, it was truly beautiful to behold. Then, when looking through my cell phone pictures, I could see them even more. According to scientists, the earth experienced a G5 geomagnetic storm, the first one to reach Earth, since October 2003. Also, known as the “aurora borealis,” this was a spectacle to behold. A spectacle that I have shared from a photograph I took.
When we look at God’s creation, let us thank Him for it. Let us not take our blessings for granted. As Psalm 8:3-4 says, “When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?” God is Good, and He is Good all of the time!
