After an almost five-year battle with a blood cancer LeAnn has found peace in the arms of our Lord. Time would fail me and words cannot express the gratitude I have for the countless words of encouragement, the selfless acts of kindness, and the unending prayers so many of you offered for her and for me. LeAnn was a giver. She was at her best and was the most content when she could do something for others. I have watched her spend endless hours listening to people’s problems. I have seen her study and study to prepare herself to teach others. I have taken her to church services many, many times when the disease that eventually took her life was draining her energy. She bore heavy burdens and fought a good fight until the end.
A memorial service will be held in her memory Saturday, January 11 at the West End church of Christ in Livingston, Tennessee at 11 am with visitation from 9-11 am. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in her honor to the LeAnn Duke Memorial, Tennessee Bible College, 1616 McCulley Road, Cookeville, Tennessee 38506.
