Friends, we live in perilous times, but we knew they would come, did we not?  II Timothy 3:1 has already told us, “. . . in the last days perilous times shall come.”  In the same context of verses 12 and 13, we are told, “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”  Those times are here.

Some as II Timothy 4:3-4 tells us will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts, they have heaped to themselves teachers, having itching ears, many choosing to believe fables, rather than the Truth of God’s Word, John 17:17.  Churches are troubled with many questions and problems in this changing world.  Christians need more of the wisdom and faith that the Scriptures give.  We know that within the Holy Scriptures we have all things that pertain unto life and godliness (II Peter 1:3).  II Timothy 3:16-17 still says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

With all of this in mind, Tennessee Bible College is offering a special night Bible class, beginning on January 2 and continuing through February 20. The class will meet on Monday nights at 6:00 PM on TBC’s campus.  The topic to be studied is “Issues Facing the Church.”  This course is open to all who have a desire to weigh the concerns that the church faces in light of the Scriptures.  This course will help us to be prepared for and to maneuver through these perilous times successfully!  Come, and be encouraged!
